OPEN CALL for participation in the MADE IN catalogue 2015 – 2016
DEADLINE for participation 27 February
DEADLINE for delivery of material 15 March
PRINTED CATALOGUE ready for distribution 22 May
MADE IN the Nordic Countries – the catalogue is a communication tool to attract more visibility to the Nordic performing arts producers who are, or have the intention to work on an international level. We have produced one Swedish edtition (2011) and three Nordic editions (2012 – 2014) and it has been a success.
In fall 2014 we launched www.madein-theweb.com, the catalogue’s online version in order to have the possibility to spread information about Nordic performing arts and our participating companies on a regular basis, connecting Facebook and Twitter, publishing newsletters to our international contacts and gathering information about important Nordic activities during fairs and festivals around the world. During the development period we decided not to produce a 2015 version of the printed catalogue in order to concentrate on madein-theweb.com.
we have had inquiries about when the new catalogue is coming, from presenters as well as companies who would like to participate! Therefore we are planning for a fifth edition ready to be handed out at the ISPA Congress and Scenkonstbiennalen / the Performing Arts Biennial in Malmö, Sweden in May 2015.

Workshop/lab – Philippe Blanchard at Inkonst/Malmö 20 -22nd of November
Description of the workshop
How should we begin? How should we end? Many choreographers, directors, writers, philosophers … have elaborate the question on beginnings and ends and its meanings. Could the beginning be the end or vice versa? Is there really an end? Is there a beginning and what does define that? How about a false start? How about an attempt to finish ? How about if the real understanding between spectators and performers is about about is to search together these recognizable points of understanding.
Perhaps a beginning or/and an end relies on a contract, a sort of agreement between spectators and performers/creators that we as artists deliberately send to an audience in order to read what we are about to enfold or to conclude.
The workshop/lab simply led us to investigate through different methods, practices and frames, different conclusions and through these articulations find other subjects of discussions related such as repetitions, authenticity of the moment, reproductions …
Participants between 20 and 35 years old with professional skills in dance/performance can apply at the e-mail address down below. Please do send your CV in order to get to know you before hand.
The workshop/lab does not include a warm up and participants would have to warm up themselves before we start.
The price for the workshop/lab is 1000kr for the three days of work and you will need to subscribe before in order to be accepted in the workshop.
Deadline to subscribe is on the 31st of October.
