A new year with new thoughts, new ideas, new experiences and new contacts! We are back in the office after a week in New York visiting the APAP and ISPA congresses and the Under the Radar Festival.

During the New York ISPA congress Åsa Edgren was elected Board member of the organization ISPA. Further news are that Loco World will be co-operating with nine European organizations in the N.O.W New Open Working Process for the performing arts project. Read more about it here: www.locoworld.se/projects/n-o-w/. Philippe Blanchard is currently on tour in Canada and the States and Gunilla Heilborn is preparing for her new work Gorkij Park 2. MADE IN 2013 ONLINE

Åsa Edgren left for ICE HOT in Helsinki with some sneak preview examples of the new edition of our MADE IN catalogue 2013. This year 80 artists, companies and venues have chosen to take part in the much appreciated book. The first major distribution will be when 3 800 copies will be distributed during APAP 2013 in New York followed by the ISPA congress also in New York.

Back from CINARS

Loco World, Nordics Combined and the Fair Project are back from CINARS. We have had a fantastic week of showcases, parties and meetings and promoting approximately 70 artists in our joint Nordic booth, the Nordic Square.

Björn Säfsten (SE), Jo Strømgren Kompani (NO), Steinúnn and Brian (IS), The Mob, K&C Kekäläinen & Company (FI), the 10 Finger Theatre (IS) and ZebraDans (SE) performed full length works at Usine C during three days, Nordics Combined hosted a crammed party and the booth was very appreciated!

Tanzmesse NRW coming up

At Loco World we are busy with the final preparations before heading off to Tanzmesse NRW in Düsseldorf with The Fair Project.

Together with our Nordic collaborators Dance Info Finland, Performing Arts Hub Norway, Performing Arts Iceland and the Danish Arts Agency, we have prepared a Nordic focus programme. Nordics Combined will include a Nordic Party, a Nordic Breakfast and active booth presentations. The Nordic countries will present 7 showcases, 3 open studio showings and will share a Nordic Hall at the exhibition centre.

Recently back from the ISPA June Congress in Seoul, South Korea we are taking a couple of weeks off before preparing for Tanzmesse NRW and next season’s performances and projects.
